FIFA ban the La Liga giants for two transfer windows back in April after the former European champions were found guilty of breaching the organization rules concerning the transfer of minors.
Barcelona appealed the decision and the punishment was frozen pending the hearing of the appeal. The delay in implementing the punishment allowed the Catalan side to complete transfer deals this summer.
Apart from being unable to sign and sell players for two transfer windows, the La Liga side were also fined $494,000 by FIFA.
Barcelona was found to have breached the rules covering the protection of minors concerning the signing 10 unnamed players. The Spanish Football Federation were also fined $565,500 for registering minors.
