However, in a swift reply to the request, the General Secretary of
the football federation, Barrister Musa Amadu, told SoccerStar recently
that the condition for the federation granting such request would be an
assurance that the players and officials of both the home and visiting
teams including the spectators must be guaranteed.

Stadium is undoubtedly the best in the country. We also know that the
National Sports Commission (NSC) has worked tirelessly to ensure that
the stadium is ready for continental and international matches.
“If there is the need for all national team matches to be played in
Abuja, and we look at all the logistics around the proposal, we will

“However, the most important thing here is for us to be able to play
our matches in an atmosphere, where security is guaranteed for the
visiting team, the Nigeria national team and the spectators. We must
have to play those matches without any hitches whatsoever,” he warned.
